Even when we think we have seen it all along comes a wedding that gives us a fresh boost of inspiration. Think vintage charm, urban vibes and a big dose of family values; those were all key players in Maya and Dror’s recent summer wedding.
Maya and Dror both live in Tel Aviv and decided to keep their event close to home. But they did that not only by choosing urban venue Kastiel for their wedding location, but also by incorporating many personal themes in their wedding decor. It began with their wedding invite (designed by Maya herself) that showed the silhouette’s of their family members in a family tree, continued with a big poster hanging on the wall of their venue showing their close family making funny faces and lastly – throughout the event space photographs of their family and friends were spread out in an eclectic manner as in an art gallery with guests suddenly discovering their own special moments as part of the event. Love!
The Chuppa ceremony was also something to write about and took place in the street outside the venue. Walking down the aisle to funky Klezmer band ‘Kleine Mentshelekh’, the energy of the moment was so happy that Maya and Dror spontaneously began to dance. After smashing the glass the two began dancing again and this time were joined by all their guests. The dancing went on and on into the night in a festive, happy and very touching event. Mazal Tov Maya & Dror, we love your wedding and the way it was captured through the lens of photographer Ben Kelmer.
