We are always so excited to find out that our overseas couples are using our blog to help plan their dream wedding in Israel, especially when it’s done with professionals from our dream team. Nava & Benjamin’s wedding is an example for how you can plan a beautiful wedding from afar and even though they could have chosen many spectacular locations in their home country of France, they decided to have their wedding in Old Jaffa.
The entire wedding planning was done through emails and phone calls exchange with the professional event planners duo, Sophie and Ravit from R&S Eventime. Sophie and Ravit understood Nava’s and Benjamin’s expectations for their big day and they worked hard to make sure that the couple will have minimum stress when it comes to the organization and won’t have to deal with all the small and big details. Nava and Benjamin’s overall approach was very relaxed and easy going. In fact, they suggest to pretend it’s not even a wedding, just a big party to organize and understand in advance that not everything has to be prefect – that will definitely help reduce the pressure.
Nava & Benjamin arrived a week before their big day and, a week that was excitement, nerves and even a few sleepless nights. Nava began the day with a mani-pedi and she didn’t specify she was the bride when she booked the appointment. However, when the beautician found out that it was her wedding day, she got very excited and treated her like a true princess. Later, Nava went on to get ready at the hotel and she tells us that even though she only met with her hair designer and makeup artists on her wedding day for the first time, the meeting was pleasant, professional and relaxing. Nava looked stunning with a wavy curly hair and a floral headpiece done by Shoshan’s. While Nava was getting ready, Benjamin spent the morning with his dad at the beach, a “father-son” moment he would remember forever.
One of the most memorable moments for them was right after the Chuppa, when they walked through the Old City of Jaffa to reach their venue – Beit Andromeda, accompanied by two Klezmer musicians. An absolute magical moment! The Venue was beautifully designed by one of our dream team designers – Mint Design with elements that Nava created herself such as seating cards stand that was made of 200 Polaroid pictures of their guests with the table number on the other side. Instead of the regular table numbers, they used Politician names and asked a local artist to create a funny caricature for each Politician.
