DIY Table Centerpieces

Many brides-to-be will spend hours online (and on Hatunot!) browsing through photos of  real weddings with incredible flowers and rooms by talented event designers, only to find that the wedding decor they dream of is way out of their price range. While we highly recommend some of the amazing event designers in Israel for brides with a little extra room in their budget, we want all our readers to know: it is still possible to create your dream wedding decor on a budget!

Here are some great DIY (Do-It-Yourself) table centerpiece ideas that even the most uncrafty bride and her friends can execute. All it takes is a few supplies,  time, and a little patience. And Remember: It’s best to create these decorations in the weeks prior to the wedding…not on your wedding day!

Using Fruit- Last week we featured the backyard wedding of Jonah and Keren, and we loved how they placed different fruits in glass vases to create table centerpieces. A centerpiece that looks good and tastes good too!

The Mason Jar-  Brides all over the world are wild about mason jars and so are we! Placing flowers in a mason jar with a simple ribbon tied around brings a sense of casual elegance and creativity to any wedding table.

Using Candles- There is nothing more romantic than a room full of candles!  Candles in glass votives are a fun and inexpensive way to bring a warm ambiance to your wedding decor. For a beach wedding, fill your votive with sand, for an indoor  wedding, buy simple glass vases from IKEA as holders for long chandelier candles. So elegant!

Create a Tablescape– It’s a bit of last minute work, but creating a tablescape with inexpensive vases and various flowers will make your tables look lovely and sophisticated. The photo here shows a collection of white vases that are simply filled with water and a few of the bride and groom’s favorite buds.
