Gill and and Kate met each other a little over 4 years ago while studying for their MBA degree in France. Gill had been studying there for a year already. He was the student council president, and he organized a welcome orientation for the new students.
The first time they met was when Gill handed Kate a weekend survival kit of bottled water and toilet paper (because everything’s closed on the campus during the weekend). The connection was obvious. After only 3 months together, Kate moved to London for work, and he left for New York for his exchange program. He returned to Israel after he finished his exchange, and they maintained a long-distance relationship for 2 years while Kate was working in London.
During that time, Kate visited Israel a few times. In 2010, she decided to quit her job and move to Israel and see how they relationship would go. On Feb. 1st, 2012, Gil proposed to Kate in the beautiful Rain Bell Suite in Hatirot Hanaot Beruach, overlooking the snowy Mount Hermon. The two got married this past summer at a gorgeous beachside wedding in Caesarea, but six weeks before the big day they went on a full day photo and video shoot in Jerusalem’s Kotel and the Negev. This post is part one of Gil and Kate’s love story and features their Negev shoot, documented by the talented duo Oren and Asi Eitan. For Kate and Gills elegant Caesarea wedding, press here.
