After posting about their beautiful Negev photo session last week here, we are happy to follow up with Kate and Gill’s October wedding in Caesarea which incorporates the best of both a traditional Jewish wedding and customs we love from American weddings such as groomsmen and bridesmaids, boutoniere’s and ofcourse the traditional wedding cake.
There are many small touches throughout the wedding which we love. Guests were greeted with a board with a watches background which had vintage skeleton keys with different messages such as “love”, “dream”, “hear”, “journey” etc … The keys were their seating chart and each key was tied with the guest’s name and his/her table number.
At the dinner table, each guest also was given a mini bell that was customized with “Kate & Gill. Make some noise!”. During their walk-in after the Chuppa, they all rang the bell to welcome them as newly weds. For their guestbook, they had a hand-painted tree with empty branches drawn for us. The guests put their fingerprints on each branch and signed their name. Each fingerprint became the “leaves” for the tree. Next to the fingerprint guestbook, they placed our pre-wedding photo albums that we shot in Hong Kong and in Israel for the guests to view. Before their first dance, the guests were given sparklers, and while they danced to “Dream a Little Dream of me”, the guests all lit up their sparklers and waved it around the couple.
To top it all off, Kate and Gill also had customized napkins, matches, lip glosses that were placed in different areas as wedding favors. Lovely. Enjoy the beautiful pictures of Kate and Gill’s wedding day, captures in the lens of the talented Oren and Asi Eitan.
