We’ve chosen a winner for this Hatunot Giveaway…. Mazal Tov Nadine who wrote the following comment:

“I’m Canadian and my fiance is Israeli. Two totally different mentalities. As ridiculous as it sounds, our biggest argument up until now has been whether Humus will be on the tables or not. The way I relax is by telling myself how little these details will matter on our wedding day and how much we love each other (with or without the Humus )”

You get to choose a pampering treatment with Samantha that will surely leave you calmer and happier before the wedding. Please email us at info@hatunotblog.com

Look After Yourself As A Bride

“It’s perfectly natural for women to feel stressed before their wedding, whether it’s nerves about everything running smoothly or anxiety about being the centre of attention, these things can show themselves through body tension. Holistic treatments can help emotions keep in balance and in turn keep the body healthy.”

Since making Aliyah five years ago, Samantha has built up her practice as a holistic therapist with a clientele predominately Anglo/Israeli. She treats from a private clinic in the heart of Tel Aviv’s beautiful Yemen Quarter and away from the hustle and bustle of city life.  While hotel visits are possible, it is recommended to visit the clinic to enjoy from the calm and quiet atmosphere so that you can get the most out of your treatment.

“I particularly enjoy treating and nurturing women.  The power of touch is amazing, Seeing the difference in a person before and after their treatment is so wonderful and rewarding.”

Also available:

I had no time to do anything relaxing for myself since i started to plan my wedding. It is not easy, when your crazy Jewish family lives abroad and you have to plan (and help out financially )their whole trip over here and of course all the normal-insane wedding planning in Israel. Sometimes i just watch in youtube relaxing spa music to get my head free for 5 min…it might sound silly, but to hear the spa music and close your eyes for a couple of minutes can bring me back on track 🙂 I don’t give up hope, that in 2 month the stress was worth it and i will have a beautiful wedding!

Funny enough my relaxation for any stress in my planning has been Zumba. I take one hour out of my day and just let my body move to the music. In my head I am doing all the moves correctly. Even though if someone looked at me I probably look like a monkey :-). But seriously just getting lost in the music and movement takes my mind to a different place. You should all try it! It is an added plus that I am excersising too!

The most stressful thing for me is balancing between me and my Israeli fiance’s cultures so that all sides will be happy with the resulting celebration. I’m Canadian with a small European family and my fiance has a huge Israeli family. Mixing the two cultures hasn’t been easy, but we’ve been getting through it together (the way I look at it, these differences and the way in which we solve any conflicts, shows me how good a team the two of us are and only makes me more excited for our life together)
