We’re kicking off the week with photographs of the recently married Lisa and Mark and their amazing wedding that began with a chuppah ceremony at the Kotel in Jerusalem, and moved on to a night of fun and dancing in Tel Aviv’s Namal. We asked Lisa to tell us a little background information on her big day, and here is what she told us:
“It was my life’s dream to get married in the Holy Land. I was looking for as authentic of an experience as possible. There is no greater spiritual place in the world than the Old City in Jerusalem. We decided that our Chuppah needs to take place by the Kotel, where I have always felt connected to the most sacred things in the world. Our Rabbi assured us that we would be “in the most special place” by the Kotel. I had been to Jerusalem 9 times, but for some reason never on this 1 balcony that provided a stunning view of the Kotel. Perhaps I was only meant to see it for my wedding day. Our Chuppah made me feel like a village was marrying us off, being surrounded by our closest family.
On the ride back to Tel Aviv, the sun was setting over the land of Israel – it was the most calming and romantic moment, watching the sun go down, while sitting next to my now husband. We partied and celebrated like children by the Mediterranean Sea in Shalvata, in the Port of Tel Aviv. The music beat loud, the drinks kept coming. At some point in the evening we got on the bar outside and with the sea behind us and our closest family cheering us on – it was the happiest day in our lives.” Mazal Tov to Lisa and Mark and enjoy the photographs of the day by Eyal Gaziel Photography.
