Today on the blog we are featuring a couple that not only has great style, but also a wonderful story. Miri and David met in Berlin five years ago. Miri lived in Germany her entire life and David, originally from Ness Ziona, arrived there for work and studies.
One week after they met the moved in together and have been inseparable ever since. The marriage proposal arrived two years ago, and was the end of a wonderful day-long treasure hunt carefully planned by David and which took them through all the places in Berlin that had meaning for them. The final spot of the treasure hunt was at the garden of “charlottenburg” palace where David got down on one knee and proposed. Two months later at the exact same spot they got officially married in front of their closest friends and relatives.
For their “big fat jewish wedding” they choose Israel and a month ago 180 guests came from all over the world to attend the event which took place at Tel Aviv’s Kastiel Venue. The celebrations began at three in the afternoon and lasted till about 3am, even after the DJ shut the music off.
We love Miri’s wedding day look, especially her high ponytail hair-do which we adore! We also love how Miri and David choose to bring themselves into the event by using names of places they’ve visited together instead of table numbers and using pictures from their travels as the centerpieces. The menu, helmed by Erez & Hanan, was also custom designed to include their favorite foods, and ran the gamut from foie grass and steak to malabi, knaffe and pistacio ice cream.
Miri tell us that her unforgettable day was only topped by the unforgettable memories created by both Adi Gaziel and her husband Eyal Gaziel and their perfect pictures that will shine on forever and let the couple relive the joy and happiness of their wedding day every time they look at them. We hope this post will also be a sweet memory from a perfect day, and we wish Miri and David a huge Mazal Tov and send them our love all the way to Berlin where they currently reside.
