I hope everyone had a wonderful Pesach!! Today’s Hatunot features one of my favorite things: A real wedding from a real Hatunot bride! Sarah and Itzik were wed at Jaffa this February and below are some photographs and some information about the day straight from the bride. Mazal tov Sarah & Itzik!!
“Itzik and I were married on 2.20.12 at Lauren’s Gallery in Jaffa. Our photographer was Carmit Hassine, she was so amazing. My dress was made by Michal Taylor in Jerusalem. My hair was done by Tamar Benin. Our D.J was Omri Anghel from Zebra, we picked him because of his extensive time in the NYC as a D.J. He handled switching from Oldies to Mizrahi perfectly!
I recently made Aliyah from Boston, Mass. Itzik and I met 3 years ago while I was interning for the summer at his media center in Sderot on an internship program. After long distance and a year in Los Angeles for me to finish my film degree, Itzik and I returned to Israel and married months later. I was desperate to find a place that was natural, yet authentic Israeli. After hearing about Laurens Gallery’s Klezmer parade to the oldest synagogue in Jaffa, complete with fireworks and white balloons, I had to take it. All guests, Israeli and American, were thrilled. It was special and unique for everyone!”
