Scenic Venues in Israel

If you’ve always imagined your chuppah to be in the heart of nature or overlooking a stunning view, you’re in luck! Although Israel is a small country, what it lacks in size it makes up for with its diverse natural landscapes. Vineyards, seas, beaches and forests provide for plenty of gorgeous wedding locations. Here are some of our favorite scenic venues:

On the Shores of the Kinneret

The Green Beach – In the heart of a famous nature reserve, The Green Beach is situated right on the shore of the Sea of Galilee and overlooks stunning views of the Golan and Mount Hermon. What makes this place so unique (besides the view) is that unlike other venues that close early, here you are encouraged to dance till sunrise and then spend a fun day with your guests on the beach.

Bora Bora Beach Bar – Bora Bora is a popular beach-bar near Tiberias. It is possible to transform the location for a beachside wedding with up to 500 guests. Bora Bora doesn’t offer in-house catering services, but there are plenty of caterers in Israel to choose from to accommodate your needs.

Bait al Hayam (Jaffa) Just at the meeting point of Old Jaffa & Tel Aviv sits Bait al Hayam. Bait al Hayam (or” House on the Sea”) is a split level venue with the top alfresco floor overlooking the sea and coastline of Tel Aviv. Meticulously decorated inside, the real treat here is the second floor terrace overlooking the Tel Aviv coastline.

Caliph  (Jaffa) Despite it’s ancient ancient looking facade, the inside of Jaffa’s Caliph is modern and metropolitan. Amazing views of Jaffa and the Mediterreanean Sea extend from it’s second floor balcony (where the Chuppa is usually held) and a beautiful garden terrace with middle eastern accents make Caliph an authentic place to hold an Israeli wedding that your guests would never be able to experience anywhere else in the world.

Eilat and Desert Weddings

Timna Park (Near Eilat)

In the heart of the Arava, about 17 miles north of Eilat, Timna Park is an ancient valley surrounded by steep cliffs and desert scenery. One of the highlights of the park is Solomon’s Pillars which are natural geological formations named after the biblical king and one of Israel’s more famous natural attractions. Events can be held near Solomon’s pillars or at the lake at the heart of the park. There may be some extra logistics taken into account when planning a wedding in the South, but the result will be a spectacular event that your guests will never forget. Keep in mind that summer months are extra hot in the Arava, so it would be wiser to have a fall/spring wedding at this place.Scenic Venues in Israel

Metzoki Dargot  (Dead Sea)

For those willing to trade the conveniences of an organized wedding venue for an alternative laid back affair, Metzoki Dargot is one of the most beautiful and unique locations in Israel. Perched on a cliff with a spectacular view of the Dead Sea, the Metzoki Dargot desert acommodation center can host weddings for up to 300 people. There is an event space overlooking the view, and accommodations ranging from tents to air conditioned rooms for the guests. The venue is kosher and does its own catering. As we said, this is for those who have a strong connection with nature and envision a wedding with alternative seating and authentic desert-inspired dishes. Scenic Venues in Israel
